New Makeup and Skincare Products

Hello, everyone! I’m back and wanted to do a post on some new makeup and skincare products I’ve been living for this month.

First off, I recently switched my foundation and primer. I was previously using the Nars All Day Luminous foundation paired with the Benefit Porefessional primer, but my makeup wasn’t going on as nicely as it used to. I love the foundation, but I don’t think these two go together very well. So, I went to Sephora and bought the Make Up For Ever Hydrating Primer, which retails for $37. This primer is amazing and pairs perfectly with my new Smashbox Studio Skin Foundation, which retails for $42. The foundation lay really nicely over the hydrating primer, which is good for my skin because I tend to have dry areas. My nose on the other hand can get a bit oily, but I’ve noticed it stays matte and very natural looking throughout the day. That’s the one thing I love about this foundation is that it looks so natural rather than cakey and too matte.

The next product I’ve been obsessing over is the tarte Lip Facial Lip Scrub. I use this every day before putting on lipstick, liquid mattes, or even lipgloss. It makes my lips feel so soft and gets all of the dry skin off, which is perfect for this weather! My lips get so dry and this product really moisturizes them and leaves a perfect base for even lipstick application.

Lastly, I’ve been using the boscia Exfoliating Peel Gel. This exfoliator is amazing. I use it once a week to exfoliate my skin and I notice a difference right after using it. It gets all of the dead and dry skin off of my face and leaves my skin looking so good and feeling good. This is another great product, especially for this weather, when everyone’s skin tends to get more dry. I put eye cream and a moisturizer on after as well. One thing I’ve learned is that every girl should be using an eye cream! It doesn’t matter what age you are, you should definitely purchase one, you’ll thank me in the future.
